Active Military and Veterans are heroes who signed on the dotted line risking their life, their family’s happiness, their parent’s worry, everything for the greater good. We cannot do enough to thank them. We are trying to identify every Active Military person and Veteran living in or related to Washington County. In a small way we thank them here for their bravery.

Chad Boomershine

United States Marine Corps
Boomershine served seven years earning the rank of Sergeant. He was stationed at Marine Corp Air Station New River, in New River, North Carolina. While there he was a power plants mechanic for helicopters.
Josh Bradham
Corporal
United States Marine Corps
He served 4 years of active duty at Camp Lejeune from 2006 to 2010. As a Machine Gunner with 2nd Battalion 8th Marines Regiment, he did a combat tour in Helmand ProvinceAfghanistan.
Gary Bussell
United States Army
Vietnam
He attended basic training at Fort Benning, in Columbus, GA. He was deployed to Vietnam in December of 1968 as a member of the 196th Light Infantry Brigade. He is a Purple Heart Recipient as well.
