Private – Co. A, 28th Regiment – Confederate States of America – March 20, 1820 – March 29, 1876 – Son of Thomas Brantley and Martha Young – Husband of Mary Elizabeth Smith, who was the daughter of Joseph Duty Smith and Rebecca E. Joiner and the Great Granddaughter of Colby Smith – Young Family Cemetery, Tennille, GA

James Allen Hunt
Captain – Co. A, 28th GA Infantry – Confederate States of America – October 10, 1840 – September 29, 1897 – Hunt enlisted July 11, 1861 as a Private in Co. F, 14th GA Infantry. He transferred to Co. A, 28th GA Infantry and was appointed 3rd Sergeant on September 10, 1861. He was elected Jr. 2nd Lieutenant on September 11, 1862, 2nd Lieutenant on September 13, 1862, 1st Lieutenant on May 20, 1863 and finally promoted to Captain. James Allen Hunt was the husband of Hannah Ruthie Smith, who was the daughter of Rev. Isaac Smith and Arsenia Brantley, and also Granddaughter of Colby Smith – Young Family Cemetery, Tennille, GA

Rev Charles Thomas Smith
13th GA Regiment – Confederate States of America – May 1, 1833 – October 6, 1907 – Smith enlisted on March 4, 1862. He was the son of Reverent Isaac Smith and Arsenia Brantley and the husband of Nancy Burnett Smith. He was also the grandson of Colby Smith – Young Family Cemetery, Tennille, GA

Colesby (Colby) Smith
North Carolina Militia – American Revolutionary War – June 1751 – 1835 – He was the husband of Rebecca Anne Henry Smith – Young Family Cemetery, Tennille, GA

Eli Smith
Private – Co. K, 5th GA Reserves – Confederate States of America – 1821 – March 18, 1865 – Eli Smith enlisted in Macon in 1863-1864. (Pension affidavit by his wife, Mary Smith, says he enlisted September 1863.) He was sent home on February 12, 1865, with measles and typhoid dysentery in helpless condition dying a month later, March 18, 1865. His company carried his name on their roll until surrender in December 1865. He was the son of George Smith and Lavenia Phillips and husband of Mary Ann Smith Smith, who was the daughter of John Smith and Catherine Young. He was also the grandson of Colby Smith – Young Family Cemetery, Tennille, GA
